Engelman has amassed a vast amount of experience over more than 25 years in building Document Management businesses from start-up to public listing and beyond. Having held a number of division President and senior executive roles with industry-leading companies, he has first-hand international experience in most functional areas of the business across a broad range of industry sectors, including Records Management, Document Print and Fulfillment, Document Imaging and Business Process Outsourcing.

As a founding partner of K-2 Partners, Engelman has leveraged his extensive acquisition experience, as well as his industry and business know-how to structure deals and creative solutions for our clients, while achieving exceptional valuations in the process.

In his extensive corporate career, Engelman often fulfilled multiple roles concurrently and aside from traditional P&L management functions, he has numerous other accomplishments to his credit, including geographic expansion, new business line implementation/development and technology implementation.

As President of Iron Mountain Latin America, he was responsible for the company’s present-day success in this region, having taken it from start-up to the market leader, offering a complete range of service lines. Engelman built the business through a mixture of organic growth, strategic joint venture partnerships and M&A.

When appointed President of Iron Mountain Fulfillment Services, he developed the business well beyond its original scope by transforming it from a physical collateral fulfillment business to a nationally-recognized leader in digital/physical document workflow, print and distribution. As part of this process, Engelman doubled the size of the business.

Prior to its merger with Iron Mountain, Engelman held Vice President roles with Pierce Leahy, firstly as its VP of Information Technology and then as VP of Southern USA and International Regions. He developed the company’s strategic plans for operations, products, markets and technology. He also developed and implemented the core operating systems which continue to run the combined company to this day and then led the conversion programs to the core systems for all locations and acquisitions.

Additionally, he was part of the company’s core executive team, which grew the business from a $40 million regional Records Management Company into a publicly traded (NYSE), global provider of Document Management services and ultimately worked on the sale of the company to Iron Mountain.

Engelman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
