GRM Continues South America Expansion with Entry into Brazil
Jersey City, New Jersey; March 25, 2015— GRM Information Management Services, Inc., a full cycle information management leader with locations across the United States and internationally in China and Peru, announced today its acquisition of Stok, a Brazilian records management company serving Rio de Janeiro and Greater Rio markets.
“We are very pleased and excited”, said Jerry Glatt, GRM’s Executive Vice President, “to bring Stok into the GRM fold. Joining our location in Lima, Peru, this acquisition marks an important step for our expansion strategy in South America. To ensure a smooth transition, we are retaining Stok’s 35 current employees as well as Ronaldo Rocha, the company founder, who contributes more than 30 years of local records management, imaging and microfilm experience.”
GRM has identified South America as a dynamic marketplace, experiencing positive, healthy growth in the document management business, largely fueled by government regulations and the escalating, worldwide importance of physical and digital document storage solutions.
The GRM Brazil records center is strategically located within close proximity of important business districts and key transportation arteries. In addition to document storage, the facility offers a large vault for tape and microfilm storage and a scanning center.
“Going forward,” continued Glatt, “GRM intends to build upon Stok’s impressive, 10-year track record of growth and client retention in Brazil. Toward that end, we will leverage and build upon an established expertise in document storage, microfilm storage, file organization and imaging for a wide range of industries including Healthcare, Government, Business Services, Energy, Insurance, Security and Financial Services. In addition, GRM will contribute its strength in records management, digital imaging, top-of-the-line software and workflow processes that are now in practice at other GRM locations around the globe.”
