Secure Destruction Expertise

The Secure Destruction business sector is often underestimated and mis-categorized as an extension of the records management business, as just another waypoint along the lifecycle of the document. Unlike other sectors of the Document and Information Management (DIM) industry spectrum which are largely efficiency, convenience and workflow-driven, Secure Destruction is first and foremost a privacy protection business. Therefore, this sector ‘marches to the beat of a different drum’ and rightly deserves its own focus.

While the fate of other industry sectors is heavily influenced by such factors as paper consumption, workflow evolution and technology changes, the key driver of growth in the Secure Destruction segment is the ever-growing number of federal, state and industry-based privacy laws. At K-2 Partners we not only understand this important distinction, but we know how to develop business strategies that maximize investment and build long-term value. We feel very bullish about growth and business opportunities in the Secure Destruction sector, in both North America and other world markets.

We have extensive experience in all structural aspects of the Secure Destruction business, ranging from equipment selection, process automation and alternate destruction technologies, to facility layout, design and construction, Occupational Health and Safety, dust mitigation and fire/explosion suppression. We have completed detailed operational projects including the evaluation of transportation logistics, hub and spoke operations, the nuances between onsite and offsite processing and the development of operational KPI (Key Performance Indicators) programs. And we have developed comprehensive sales growth programs and market consolidation strategies.
